Welcome to Prof. Ashraf Brik’s laboratory in the Department of Chemistry at the University of Ben-Gurion of the Negev. Our research group is developing novel synthetic methods to chemically synthesize homogenous posttranslationally modified proteins, such as ubiquitinated proteins, for structural and functional analyses. In addition, we are developing new peptidomimetic structures as anti-infective agents to contribute to human health. Research in the Brik Lab is funded by several international and local funding agencies and foundations, including the Israel Science Foundation (ISF), the US-Israel Binational Science Foundation (BSF), The Human Frontier Science Program (HFSP), and the European Commission FP6 - Marie Curie International Reintegration Grant.
